More Than Just Stretching: How My Yoga Classes Support Pain Relief, Resilience, and Nervous System Health

When most people think of yoga, they picture super bendy poses, intense balance work, or a room full of people twisting like pretzels.

That’s not what I offer here.

At Deep Relief Massage Therapy, my yoga classes aren’t about performance or perfection: they’re about regulationhealing, and connection.

Why Yoga? Why Now?

So many of the women I work with come in carrying more than physical tension. They’re juggling stress, trauma, burnout, and overwhelm and it shows up in their bodies as tightness, pain, and fatigue.

Massage helps, absolutely. But sometimes, what the body really needs is a way to move gentlybreathe deeply, and feel safe in itself again.

That’s where this kind of yoga comes in.

Why I Partner with New Rhythms Therapeutic Center

I hold these classes at New Rhythms Therapeutic Center because their mission aligns beautifully with mine: to support whole-person healing in a space that feels safe, inclusive, and deeply intentional.

New Rhythms provides a calming environment where emotional healing, nervous system care, and embodied support are part of the atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where people walk in and instinctively take a deep breath and that’s exactly the energy I want for my classes.

By offering yoga through their space, I get to bring my clients into a setting that’s already working with the nervous system in mind: where everything, from the lighting to the layout, encourages calm and connection.

What Makes These Yoga Classes Different

These aren’t your typical yoga classes. No fast flows. No loud music. No pressure to perform or keep up.

Here’s what you will find:

  • Small class sizes, so you’re never lost in the crowd

  • Trauma-informed instruction that honors your pace, your body, and your story

  • A calm, welcoming space where it’s okay to show up exactly as you are

  • Movement and stillness designed to help you tune in instead of power through

Every class is built to help you regulate your nervous system, ease emotional tension, and reconnect with your body in a way that feels supportive, grounded, and real.

What to Expect in Class

Each weekly class explores different ways to support your body and mind:

  • Gentle Yoga: Move through slow, supportive poses that promote mobility and reduce pain

  • Breathwork + Meditation: Learn to calm your system and quiet your thoughts

  • Self-Massage & Myofascial Techniques: Get hands-on with techniques you can use at home

These are drop-in style classes, which means no pressure, no long-term commitments, just a consistent space to come back to whenever you’re ready.

Whether you’re easing into your day, winding down after a long one, or carving out a quiet moment in a hectic week—there’s a spot for you here.

Who These Classes Are For

If you’re dealing with:

  • Chronic pain

  • Stress, anxiety, or trauma

  • Trouble slowing down or relaxing

  • Feeling disconnected from your body

…these sessions are made with you in mind.

And if you’re already coming in for massage? This is a great way to build on that work helping your body feel better between visits, not just during them.

Want to Give It a Try?

You don’t need to be flexible or spiritual or experienced. You just need a willingness to show up and see what happens when your body finally gets the chance to move gentlybreathe fully, and rest deeply. https://www.newrhythmstherapy.com/yoga

Healing doesn’t have to be loud.

Sometimes, it starts with a quiet hour on the mat.

Supporting you,
